Sorry for the off topic post. I fugure someone here might know something about this.
I bought a used Phillips DVD player/receiver. The speaker wire has been cut and the propriotary plugs are missing. I need to either find the plugs or 1/16" "spade" plugs. I'm not sure that's what they are called which might be why I can't find them. Any tips?

Nope, they are wierd. Here's a diagram of the end view of the plug. The two spades are 1/16" wide.

I would modify the case and replace the jacks with something less propretary, like RCA or even phono jacks. There's only two wires to worry about, so it shouldn't be too hard.

I have dealt with those little things before, and they are easy to obtain at electronic stores, but finding a good electronic store can be hard. You can easily wire in replacement plugs as Joe mentioned. I would opt for banana plugs. They're really easy and work great. Simple silly.

Try Autozone. They carry some different sizes of spade type plugs.
